A Simple Marshmallow Fondant Recipe That Anyone Can Use
It is easy to go out to buy Fondant at your nearby store. However, there is an alternative way of enjoying Fondant and that is of course by making it yourself.
How to Make Marshmallow Fondant
All you need to make your marshmallow Fondant is:
- Marshmallows
- Powdered sugar
- Crisco
The ingredients required can be bought at any supermarket . Mini marshmallows are the best option as they melt down easier. Also, use nicely aerated powdered sugar and some vegetable shortening. The best vegetable shortening is Crisco
Step 1. Start with two tablespoons of water and add the marshmallow to it.
Step 2. Put it in a microwave for 30 seconds.
Step 3. Do this a few times and stir the mixture in-between and then add the sugar to it. Stir the mixture to ensure that the sugar and marshmallows are properly mixed.
Step 4. Knead the mixture with some more icing sugar and water to soften the Fondant. When it starts to feel like it is drying out you know it is ready.
After eight to ten minutes of kneading you can then store the fondant inside some wrap. Let it lie like that overnight. That’s all it takes to make your own marshmallow fondant.
